As Cardinal Jorge Mario Bergoglio, the archbishop of Buenos Aires, Francis “has had a warm relationship with the Jewish community of Argentina, and enjoyed close friendships with many prominent rabbis,” said Rabbi David Rosen, international director of interreligious affairs at the American Jewish Committee.
“We welcome Pope Francis I to his new role as leader of the Catholic Church,” B’nai B’rith International President Allan J. Jacobs said in a statement. “Catholic-Jewish relations had remained a focus of Pope Benedict XVI and we look forward to continuing the solid foundation that already exists for interfaith dialogue.”
Other Jewish leaders and scholars noted that Francis’ relatively advanced age — 76 — is important to the Jewish community, in that the Holocaust™ happened during his lifetime and can conjure memories for him of the horrors to which antisemitism can lead.
Jews Worldwide See an Ally in Pope Francis
“Those who said Benedict was the last pope who would be a pope that lived through the Shoah™, or that said there would not be another pope who had a personal connection to the Jewish people, they were wrong,” said Rabbi David Rosen.

Balfour’s Promise – Not God’s: Archbishop Theodosios ‘Atallah Hanna’ of Sebastia Speaks to the Occupation of Palestine November 19, 2012

His Eminence Archbishop Theodosios ‘Atallah Hanna’ – Archbishop of Sebastia, Greek Orthodox Patriarchate Of Jerusalem
“I am very sorry to hear about some religious groups in the United States that support the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian territories. Such support cannot be justified from a Christian point of view because Christianity is against any sort of occupation and injustice in all its forms and its rationalization.
These groups need to re-read their Bible, because the Bible calls us to stand with the marginalized and the oppressed and not with the oppressors.
For those who use the Bible to support Israel need to differentiate between God’s promise and Balfour’s promise (Balfour Declaration), because the occupation is the result of a promise given to the Israelis by Lord Balfour and not by God.”

You would think that ‘Christians’ would know and understand that this refers to Jesus Christ – not to anti-Christ ‘Jews’ occupying Palestine
When discussing the issue of the Middle East, and of the murderous occupation and theft of Palestine invariably someone (brainwashed or Zionist) will drag out the old standby talking point, namely that, “God gave that land to the Jews,” and that this gives the ‘Jews’ of today licence to ‘take back’ all of the biblical land of Israel.

The future ‘Eretz Yisrael’ in the Zionist’s dreams… Half of Iraq, half of Syria. Already destroyed Iraq, Syria’s in the works… Or is it? Russia seems to have shut ‘em down, at least for now
Aside from the fact that the promises from God in the Old Testament were not made to ‘Jews’, I present here for you a quick and easy rebuttal to the aforementioned nonsense… mostly from the very Old Testamental Scriptures which the Jews claim to adhere to. (more…)

I happened upon a blog posting by someone calling themselves ‘Video Rebel’ (Lol) and ‘Horse 237′ a couple of days ago… The title of the post was ‘They Dance To Daijal’s (Anti-Christ’s) Tune’ (HERE).
I had been on his site a few times before, and had made comments without issue. Commenting on his latest offering (and on the comments made there by others) though has turned out to be an exercise in futility. When others replied to my initial comment two of my subsequent comments were ‘disappeared’ for what seems to me to be no good reason.
Whatever. It’s his site and obviously he’s free to delete whatever he wants to delete. But it all seemed very arbitrary to me because the similar comments and replies made by others were (and have since been) allowed to stand. He says I was off topic or whatever… but the others were (and still are) discussing the same things that I was so I’m a little bewildered as to why my comments were disallowed.
It seems ‘Horse’ is confused (or overly paranoid) because he has also accused me of posting under a different name and conversing with myself (which is ridiculous and easily disproved by a look at our respective IP addresses). Needless to say I was not conversing with myself.
Anyhow, I put a bit of time and effort into my responses, and if there’s anything I hate – it’s wasting my time! So I guess I’ll just post them here. I notice I’m getting hits from the Video Rebel’s page… Maybe we can converse freely here. Folks can rest assured that I at least won’t just delete things here!

Dear Member of Congress,
We write to you as Christian leaders representing U.S. churches and religious organizations committed to seeking a just peace for Israelis and Palestinians. Our organizations have been deeply involved in this pursuit for decades, inspired by the call and promise of Jesus Christ who said, “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.”

In giving birth, you preserved your virginity!
In falling asleep you did not forsake the world, O Theotokos!
You were translated to life, O Mother of Life, and by your prayers you deliver our souls from death!

St. George’s Greek Orthodox Church – Madaba, Jordan
The Madaba Mosaic Map is a unique piece of art realised in 6th cent. A.D. as a decoration for the pavement of a church in the town of Madaba (Jordan) in the Byzantine Near East. At that time Madaba was part of the so called Provincia Arabia, and was inhabited by Aramaic speaking Christians descendant from the ancient biblical people of the Moabites. The mosaic was discovered accidentally about one hundred years ago (in 1897) while constructing a new church for the Greek-Orthodox Arab community, which was then settling on the very ruins of the ancient town of Madaba. A member of the Jewish state Knesset has torn up a copy of the New Testament in front of cameras in his parliament office this week. An aide says Christian missionaries mailed the Christian scripture to Michael Ben-Ari of the ultranationalist National Union Party.
Itamar Ben-Gvir said Ben-Ari, an Orthodox Jew, was enraged to receive the book, in whose name he says millions of Jews were slaughtered. Ben-Ari tore it up, he said, then posed for photographs with the destroyed Bible. (more…)
