Is Christianity From the Jews? Are the Jews God’s Chosen?

“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you travel land and sea to win one proselyte, and when he is won, you make him twice as much a son of hell as yourselves.”

– Matthew 23:15

Many people today calling themselves Christian will tell you that, “Our faith comes from the Jews, our Lord was a Jew, the Jews are God’s chosen,” etc, etc, ad nauseum… but is this really the case?

“They are the enemies of the cross of Christ.”

– Phillipians 3:18

The current head of the Papcy (Benedict) has relayed similar fallacies in his book-length interview with Peter Seewald entitled ‘Light of The World’:

He explains why he no longer calls Jews “our elder brothers” but rather “fathers in the faith,” stating that “the phrase ‘elder brothers’, which had already been used by John XXIII, is not so welcome to Jews. The reason is that, in the Jewish tradition, the elder brother – Esau – is also the brother who gets rejected.”

Calling the ‘Jews’ of today our ‘brothers’ is bad enough (and Scripturally false)… but to call the Jews our ‘fathers’ is patently ridiculous at best and at worst (and most likely here) downright subterfuge and utter betrayal. The is because the vast majority of religious ‘Jews’ are actually followers of Pharisaism, which negates God’s laws, and which the Lord Jesus railed against as such:

Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because you build the tombs of the prophets and adorn the monuments of the righteous, and say, ‘If we had lived in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets.’ Therefore you are witnesses against yourselves that you are sons of those who murdered the prophets. Fill up, then, the measure of your fathers’ guilt. Serpents, brood of vipers! How can you escape the condemnation of hell?”

So with this understanding, what Benedict is actually telling us is that the Pharisees are our fathers in the faith! This surely comes from the father of lies. Even a casual Christian should know this is false; the Apostles and the Bishops they appointed are our fathers in the faith. Even a cursory reading of the New Testament Scriptures demonstrates that the Church and the Pharisees were (and still are) diametrically opposed to each other.

The subject of “Pharisees” is best attested to by the Universal Jewish Encyclopedia (1943):

The Jewish religion as it is today traces its descent, without a break, through all the centuries, from the Pharisees. Their leading ideas and methods found expression in a literature of enormous extent, of which a very great deal is still in existence. The Talmud is the largest and most important single piece of that literature … and the study of it is essential for any real understanding of Pharisaism.”

Concerning the Pharisees, the 1905 Jewish Encyclopedia says:

With the destruction of the Temple (70 A.D.) the Sadducees disappeared altogether, leaving the regulation of all Jewish affairs in the hands of the Pharisees. Henceforth, Jewish life was regulated by the Pharisees; the whole history of Judaism was reconstructed from the Pharisaic point of view, and a new aspect was given to the Sanhedrin of the past. A new chain of tradition supplanted the older priestly tradition (Abot 1:1). Pharisaism shaped the character of Judaism and the life and thought of the Jew for all the future.

Historically speaking, believers in the Scriptures had accepted Christ as the Messiah Who had been foretold. They were no longer ‘Jews,’ but now called themselves “Christians.” They were persecuted as such by the Pharisees. The word ‘Pharisee’ comes from the word ‘separated.’

How the Pope and the Jews which pull his strings think they can get around all of this is beyond me. But it doesn’t stop them; they press on with their Judaizing agenda… their slow-motion transformation from within of Western ‘Christianity’ (already in a state of heresy) to Noachidism, wherein worship of Jesus as Christ and God will be considered idolatry which is, according to the Talmud punishable through death by beheading. In fact the Papacy in a ‘Bilateral Commission’ held in Jerusalem in 2007 between the RCs and the Jews affirmed that:

Jewish [read Pharisaic] tradition emphasizes the Noachide Covenant (cf. Gn 9:9-12) as containing the universal moral code which is incumbent on all humanity.”

But Genesis 9 says nothing about the Talmudic so-called ‘Noahide laws’! Here, the verses in question with added context:

Then God spoke to Noah and to his sons with him, saying: “And as for Me, behold, I establish My covenant with you and with your seed after you, and with every living creature that is with you: the birds, the cattle, and every beast of the earth with you, of all that go out of the ark, every beast of the earth. Thus I establish My covenant with you: Never again shall all flesh be cut off by the waters of the flood; never again shall there be a flood to destroy the earth.” And God said: “This is the sign of the covenant which I make between Me and you, and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations: I set My rainbow in the cloud, and it shall be for the sign of the covenant between Me and the earth.

– Genesis 9:8-13

Do you see the ‘Seven Noahide Laws’ there? Of course you don’t. This demonstrates the utmost importance in those who call themselves Christians actually reading the Scriptures. How many out there, of the countless millions of ‘Christians’ have even actually read the Bible which they proclaim belief in?

Who is Noah’s seed? Noah’s seed is Jesus Christ (Luke 3). And the “everlasting covenant” has nothing to do with the Talmudic Noahide Laws (not mentioned anywhere in the Bible). Of course the Pope and his minions know this… therefore they show themselves to be liars and servants to the Pharisees of our present day.

Many therefore being ignorant of the Scriptures and of their own faith in reality know nothing of the Jews… know nothing of what is today deceitfully called ‘Judaism’. So what is ‘Judaism’?

By Judaism we do not mean the religion of the Old Testament, taught by the holy Prophets living in expectation of the Christ and the New Testament, and which was, in fact, the dimmer form and shadow of Christianity; rather, we mean the sect of the Pharisee-rabbis which our Lord censured so severely as of the devil and which the pages of the New Testament record conspired to deceive their own followers and destroy the true Messiah and the newly-born Church as a hated rival and opponent of their designs. The New Testament story leaves off with their attempt to have the Roman authorities execute St. Paul without cause, even as they had done with our Lord Jesus Christ; however, their hatred for Christianity and our Lord and their work against it did not end there.

After two very bloody and unsuccessful revolutions against Roman rule, which ended in the destruction of Jerusalem and the Temple, and their exile from Judaea, the surviving Pharisee-rabbis set up together with their fellow rabbis in Babylon an international government over the Jewish diaspora and codified their Godless traditions into a new law for the portion of the [Israelite] people that apostatized and did not accept the Christ, of which a part, (now called the Talmud), was made public knowledge to their male co-religionists (but never fully to outsiders) and a part of which (now called the Kabbalah) remained the cherished secret of the rabbis and select male initiates only – women and youths, however, were left out of this instruction and simply subjected to the strict rule of the older men and rabbis.

The codified, published part of the oral tradition of the Pharisee elders (the false doctrines and wicked practices of their sect, a few of which the New Testament makes specific mention or gives vague reference to, and which the Old Testament denounces as well), consists in: [1] the traditions which abrogate the need to fulfill the moral or most ceremonial laws of the Prophets and affirm that anything including pretended apostasy is permitted to a Jew so long as it does not harm the Jewish people and it benefits at least one Jew – Non-Jews or ‘Goyim’ (‘cattle’) being relegated to inferior or sub-human status, since they are described as half-breed offspring of Eve and the devil-serpent, while Jews are pure souls with a divine element, destined to master the universe; [2] rules for various trades, especially commerce and banking (usury), and how to swindle and dominate Non-Jews; [3] an amalgamation of thinly-disguised pagan rituals and doctrines such as fate, panentheism, astrology, rules for consultation and use of demons, gnostic cosmology and experiences, every kind of magic, (human) blood sacrifice, sodomic and pornographic tales, as well as jokes, mockeries, and rabbinic self-glorification at God’s expense (e.g., the rabbis defeat God in debate, He praises them for their obstinancy and cunning, and they make their own rulings more authoritive than His law), the utmost denigration and abuse of all women, and Jewish male self-worship; and finally, [4] slanderous tales and mockery of the Old Testament saints who are depicted as teachers of magic and immorality, mocking accounts of how they executed Christ’s Apostles, along with even more numerous and slanderous tales that Christ repudiated Moses, lead the people into idolatry and immorality, performed all His miracles and His Resurrection by powerful Egyptian and [Babylonian] Jewish sorcery, was defeated in an aerial magical battle by a rabbi, is now tormented in hell, and innumerable other abominable teachings that have led to indescribably great crimes and also the occasional backlash of anti-Jewish violence and discrimination over the centuries.

The essential theological underpinning of Judaism, represented more clearly in the Kabbala, is the panentheistic conception that God is a simple all-permeating life-force of existence, the basis for all being, of which Man, or more accurately, (only) Jewish Man, was the most pure emanation and representation, the original master of the universe, who through the misuse of his own powers, fell into darkness and progresses back to the mastery (original unity, uniting all under himself) by relearning the right use of the powers of the universe (scientific, ritual, magical, etc.) and re-uniting all beings under himself. From the root of this organization and teaching, which is self-classified as Jewish ‘Orthodoxy’, have sprung several later daughter-groups who retain to one degree or another the same Pharisaic heritage: among the purely-Jewish (of those) are: Kairites, Sabbatians, Frankists, Spinozans, Reform, Conservative, and Reconstructionist.

“Crucify Him!”

So, are today’s so-called ‘Jews’ (spiritual descendants of the New Testament Pharisees) God’s chosen people? The answer is to be found in the New Testament writings… and just the fact that there is now a New Testament should be all the indication we need. Jesus Christ has fulfilled the Old Covenant in Himself; the Old Covenant which foretells the New, and His coming in the flesh. If a ‘Jew’ rejects His Covenant, they are rejecting the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, all of whom looked to Christ and accepted Christ in Hades.

“Because finding fault with them, He says: ‘Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a New Covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah -not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they did not continue in My covenant, and I disregarded them, says the Lord. (…) In that He says, “A new covenant,” He has made the first obsolete.”

– Hebrews 8:8-13

Therefore it is impossible for Jews who reject the promised Old Testament Messiah to be God’s chosen… for God’s Covenants are not without condition. God offers us His salvation… those who accept are His Chosen; the Israel of God… the Church.

“For many deceivers have gone out into the world who do not confess Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an anti-Christ.”

– II John 1:7

“See! Your house is left to you desolate; for I say to you, you shall see Me no more till you say, ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’ “

Does this sound like Jesus speaking to His “chosen ones”? How about these?:

“You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. (…) He who is of God hears God’s words; therefore you do not hear, because you are not of God.”

– John 8

“You do not believe, because you are not of My sheep,”

– John 10:26

“The Jews killed both the Lord Jesus and the prophets, and drove us out, and displease God and oppose all men by hindering us from speaking to the nations that they may be saved – so as always to fill up the measure of their sins.”

So who are God’s chosen people? Christians are God’s chosen people:

“Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassion, kindness, lowliness, meekness, and patience, forbearing one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.”

– Colossians 3:12-13

 

“For we know, brethren beloved by God, that He has chosen you; for our gospel came to you not only in word, but also in power and in the Holy Spirit and with full conviction.”

– I Thessalonians 1:4

“You are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s own people, that you may declare the wonderful deeds of Him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.”
